Analytical/FMI was formed in 2007 when FMI Corporation acquired The Analytical Consulting Companies. Analytical Consulting was a leading provider of compensation data services for large general contractors, homebuilders and engineering firms. Jim McMahon, who left the Management Compensation unit of Hewitt Associates after a 20-year career, founded Analytical Consulting in 1995.Analytical/FMI provides an array of consulting services to assist companies in designing compensation programs to attract, retain and motivate employees. In addition to these consulting services, Analytical/FMI provides customized compensation and benefits surveys on an annual basis to over 100 construction, engineering and homebuilding firms. These survey models were used as a platform for this new web-based interactive format.
